Il segreto rivelato dalla Madonna di La Salette a Melanie e Maximin

1. Melania, quello che sto per dirti ora non sarà sempre un segreto: lo puoi pubblicare nel 1858.

2. I sacerdoti, i ministri di mio Figlio, i sacerdoti, con la loro vita cattiva, con le loro irriverenze e le loro empietà nel celebrare i santi Misteri, con l'amore per il denaro, l'amore per gli onori ed i piaceri, i sacerdoti sono diventati cloache di impurità. Sì, i preti provocano la vendetta, e vendetta pende sulle loro teste. Siano maledetti i preti e le persone consacrate a Dio che, con la loro infedeltà e la loro vita cattiva, crocifiggono di nuovo mio Figlio! I peccati delle persone consacrate a Dio gridano al Cielo e richiamano vendetta, ed ora ecco la vendetta alle loro porte, giacché non si trova più alcuno che invochi misericordia e perdono per la gente non ci sono più anime generose; ora non c'è più nessuno degno di offrire la Vittima Immacolata all'Eterno in favore del mondo.

3. Dio colpirà in una maniera senza pari!

4. Guai agli abitanti della terra! Dio vuoterà la sua ira e nessuno sarà in grado di sfuggire a tanti mali tutti in una volta.

5. I capi, i condottieri del popolo di Dio, hanno dimenticato la preghiera e la penitenza, e il demonio ha ottenebrato le loro menti; essi sono divenuti quelle stelle erranti che l'antico diavolo con la sua coda trascinerà alla rovina. Dio abbandonerà gli uomini a se stessi e manderà castighi uno dopo l'altro per più di 35 anni.

6. La società è alla vigilia dei più terribili flagelli e dei più grandi eventi; ci si deve aspettare di essere governati da una verga di ferro e di bere il calice dell'ira di Dio.

7. Che il Vicario di mio Figlio, il Sovrano Pontefice Pio IX, non lasci Roma dopo il 1858; che egli sia fermo e generoso, faccia la battaglia con le armi della Fede e dell'amore. Io sarò con lui.

8. Che si guardi da Napoleone; il suo cuore è doppio, e quando egli vorrà essere papa e imperatore allo stesso tempo, Dio lo abbandonerà. Egli è l'aquila che, desiderando di alzarsi sempre più, cadrà sulla spada che lui voleva usare per forzare le popolazioni ad esaltano.

9. L'Italia sarà punita per la sua ambizione nel volere scuotersi il giogo del Signore dei Signori: così essa sarà consegnata alla guerra: sangue scorrerà da tutte le parti: chiese saranno chiuse o dissacrate: preti, religiosi saranno cacciati; essi saranno messi a morte e ad una morte crudele. Molti abbandoneranno la fede e il numero dei sacerdoti e dei religiosi che si separeranno dalla vera religione sarà grande: persino dei vescovi saranno trovati tra queste persone.

10. Che il papa stia in guardia contro gli operatori di miracoli, giacché è venuto il tempo in cui avverranno i più straordinari prodigi sulla terra e in cielo.

11. Nell'anno 1864, Lucifero ed un gran numero di demoni saranno sciolti dall'inferno: a poco a poco essi aboliranno la fede, e questo anche in persone consacrate a Dio; essi li accecheranno a tal punto che senza una grazia speciale, queste persone prenderanno lo spirito di questi angeli cattivi: numerose case religiose perderanno completamente la fede e causeranno la dannazione di molte anime.

12. Libri cattivi abbonderanno sulla terra e gli spiriti di oscurità spargeranio da ogni parte un universale rilassamento in tutto ciò che concerne il servizio di Dio. Essi avranno un grandissimo potere sulla natura: ci saranno chiese per servire questi spiriti [la Setta di Satana. NdR].
La gente sarà trasportata da un posto all'altro da questi spiriti cattivi, e persino i sacerdoti perché essi non avranno vissuto secondo lo spirito del Vangelo, che è spirito di umiltà, carità e zelo per la gloria di Dio. I morti e i giusti saranno fatti risorgere. [Cioè: questi morti assumeranno l'aspetto di anime giuste che una volta vissero sulla terra, con lo scopo di sedurre gli uomini più facilmente: ma non saranno altro che il demonio, sotto queste facce, predicheranno un altro Vangelo, contrario a quello vero di Gesù Cristo, negando l'esistenza del paradiso. Tutte queste anime appariranno unite ai loro corpi. Così ha poi aggiunto Melania]. Ci saranno straordinari prodigi dovunque, perché la vera fede è stata spenta ed una falsa luce illumina il mondo. Guai ai principi della Chiesa che saranno occupati solo ad accumulare ricchezze su ricchezze, a difendere la propria autorità e a dominare con orgoglio!

13. Il Vicario di mio Figlio dovrà soffrire molto, perché per un po' la Chiesa sarà soggetta a grandi persecuzioni. Sarà l'ora delle tenebre: la Chiesa passerà una spaventosa crisi.

14. Dimenticata la santa fede di Dio, ogni individuo vorrà guidarsi da solo ed essere superiore ai suoi pari. L'autorità civile ed ecclesiastica sarà abolita, l'ordine e la giustizia saranno calpestati sotto i piedi. Si vedranno solo omicidi, odio, gelosia, menzogna e discordia, senza amore per la patria e per la famiglia.

15. Il Santo Padre soffrirà molto. Io sarò con lui fino alla fine per ricevere il suo sacrificio.

16. I malvagi faranno vari attentati alla sua vita, senza riuscire ad accorciare i suoi giorni; ma né lui né il suo successore vedranno il trionfo della Chiesa di Dio.

17. I governanti civili avranno tutti lo stesso scopo, che sarà quello di abolire e far sparire ogni principio religioso, per far strada al materialismo, all'ateismo, allo spiritismo e a vizi di tutti i tipi.

18. Nell'anno 1865, l'abominazione sarà vista nei luoghi santi; nei conventi, i fiori della Chiesa diverranno putridi e il diavolo si stabilirà come re di tutti i cuori. Coloro che sono a capo di comunità religiose stiano in guardia con le persone che devono ricevere, perché il diavolo userà tutta la sua malizia per introdurre negli Ordini religiosi persone date al peccato, giacché disordini e amore ai piaceri carnali saranno sparsi su tutta la terra.

19. La Francia, l'Italia, la Spagna e l'Inghilterra saranno in guerra; sangue scorrerà per le strade; il francese combatterà col francese, l'italiano con l'italiano; poi ci sarà una guerra generale che sarà spaventosa. Per un po' Dio non si ricorderà più della Francia e dell'italia, perché il Vangelo di Gesù Cristo non è più conosciuto. I malvagi sguinzaglieranno tutta la loro malizia; persino nelle case ci saranno omicidi e mutui massacri.

20. Con il primo fulmineo colpo della sua spada, le montagne e tutta la natura tremeranno di spavento, perché i disordini e i crimini degli uomini stanno squarciando la volta dei cieli. Parigi sarà bruciata e Marsiglia inghiottita; numerose grandi città saranno scosse e inghiottite dai terremoti; tutto sembrerà perduto; si vedranno solo assassinii; si udranno strepito di armi e bestemmie. I giusti soffriranno molto; le loro preghiere, la loro penitenza e le loro lacrime saliranno fino al Cielo e tutto il popolo di Dio chiederà perdono e misericordia e chiederà il mio aiuto ed intercessione. Allora Gesù Cristo, per un atto della sua giustizia e per la sua grande misericordia verso i giusti, comanderà ai suoi angeli di mettere a morte tutti i suoi nemici.
In un colpo i persecutori della Chiesa di Gesù Cristo e tutti gli uomini dediti al peccato periranno e la terra diventerà come un deserto.
Poi, ci sarà la pace, la riconciliazione di Dio con gli uomini; Gesù Cristo sarà servito, adorato e glorificato; la carità fiorirà ovunque. I nuovi re saranno il braccio destro della Santa Chiesa, che sarà forte, umile, pia, povera, zelante, imitante le virtù di Gesù Cristo. Il Vangelo sarà predicato ovunque e gli uomini faranno grandi passi nella fede, perché ci sarà unità tra gli operai di Gesù Cristo e gli uomini vivranno nel timor di Dio.

21. Ma questa pace tra gli uomini non durerà molto: 25 anni di raccolti abbondanti faranno dimenticare loro che i peccati degli uomini sono la causa di tutti i guai che capitano sulla terra.

22. Un precursore dell'Anticristo, con le sue milizie prese da molte nazioni, muoverà guerra contro il vero Cristo, il solo Salvatore del mondo; egli spargerà molto sangue e cercherà di annullare il culto di Dio per essere considerato come un Dio.

23. La terra sarà colpita da castighi di ogni genere [oltre alla peste e alla carestia, che saranno diffuse, aggiunto da Melania]: ci saranno guerre fino all'ultima guerra, che sarà poi mossa dai dieci re dell'Anticristo, re che avranno un disegno comune e saranno gli unici governanti del mondo. Prima che questo accada, ci sarà una specie di falsa pace nel mondo: la gente penserà solo a divertirsi; i malvagi si lasceranno andare a ogni sorta di peccato; ma i figli della Santa Chiesa, i figli della vera fede, i veri miei imitatori, cresceranno nell'amore di Dio e nelle virtù a me più care.
Felici le anime umili guidate dallo Spirito Santo! o combatterò con loro fino a che essi raggiungeranno la pienezza della maturità.

24. La natura implora vendetta a causa degli uomini e trema di spavento, aspettando quello che deve accadere alla terra macchiata di crimini.

25. Trema, terra, e tu che professi di servire Gesù Cristo, mentre interiormente tu adori te stesso, trema! Perché Dio ti consegnerà al suo nemico, perché i luoghi santi sono in uno stato di corruzione; molti conventi non sono più le case di Dio, ma pascoli per Asmodeo e la sua gente.

26. Sarà in questo periodo che l'Anticristo nascerà da una monaca ebrea, una falsa vergine che sarà in comunicazione con l'antico serpente, maestro d'impurità; suo padre sarà un vescovo [in francese: Ev.] alla nascita vomiterà bestemmie, avrà denti; in una parola, questo sarà il demonio incarnato: emetterà grida terrificanti. farà prodigi, vivrà di impurità.
Egli avrà fratelli che, benché non demoni incarnati come lui, saranno figli del male; all'età di dodici anni saranno notati per le prodi vittorie che otterranno; presto essi saranno ognuno a capo di eserciti, assistiti da legioni dell'inferno.

27. Le stagioni cambieranno, la terra produrrà solo frutti cattivi: i corpi celesti perderanno la regolarità dei loro movimenti: la luna rifletterà solo una tenue luce rossastra; l'acqua ed il fuoco determineranno moti sconvolgenti alla sfera della terra, facendo inghiottire montagne e città; ecc.

28. Roma perderà la fede e diverrà la sede dell'Anticristo.

29. I demoni dell'aria, insieme all'Anticristo, opereranno grandi prodigi sulla terra e nell'aria, e gli uomini diverranno ancora più pervertiti: Dio avrà cura dei suoi servi fedeli e degli uomini di buona volontà: il Vangelo sarà predicato dovunque; tutti i popoli e tutte le nazioni conosceranno la verità.
Io rivolgo un pressante appello alla terra: faccio appello ai veri discepoli di Dio che vive e regna nei Cieli; faccio appello ai veri imitatori di Cristo fatto uomo, l'unico vero Salvatore degli uomini; faccio appello ai miei figli, ai miei veri devoti, coloro che mi si sono donati così che io possa condurli al mio divino Figlio, coloro che io porto come se fossero nelle mie braccia, coloro che hanno vissuto nel mio spirito. Infine, faccio appello agli apostoli degli ultimi tempi, i fedeli discepoli di Gesù Cristo che hanno vissuto nel disprezzo del mondo e di se stessi, in povertà e umiltà, in disprezzo e silenzio, in preghiera e mortificazione, in castità e in unione con Dio, in sofferenza e sconosciuti al mondo. E ora per loro di emergere e di venire ad illuminare la terra. Andate, mostrate di essere i miei cari figli; io sono con voi ed in voi, perché la vostra fede sia la luce che vi illumina in questi tempi cattivi. Possa il vostro zelo rendervi famelici della gloria e dell'onore di Gesù Cristo. Combattete, figli della luce! Voi, i pochi che vedono a questo proposito, giacché il tempo dei tempi, la fine delle finì, è vicina.

31. La Chiesa sarà eclissata; il mondo sarà in costernazione. Ma ci sono Enoch ed Elia, pieni dello spirito di Dio; essi predicheranno con il potere di Dio, e gli uomini di buona volontà crederanno in Dio, e molte anime saranno confortate; essi faranno un grande progresso per virtù dello Spirito Santo e condanneranno gli errori diabolici dell'Anticristo.

32. Guai agli abitanti della terra! Ci saranno guerre sanguinose e carestie; pesti e malattie contagiose: ci saranno spaventosi acquazzoni e moria di animali; tuoni che demoliranno città; terremoti che inabisseranno paesi; voci saranno sentite nell'aria; gli uomini batteranno la testa contro il muro; essi invocheranno la morte, ma la morte costituirà il loro tormento; il sangue scorrerà da tutte le parti. Chi potrebbe farcela se Dio non accorcia il tempo della prova? Al sangue, alle lacrime, alle preghiere dei giusti. Dio diverrà meno severo; Enoch ed Elia verranno messi a morte; la Roma pagana sparirà; il fuoco del Cielo cadrà e consumerà tre città, tutto l'universo sarà colpito dalla paura, e molti si lasceranno sedurre, perché essi non adorano il vero Cristo vivente in mezzo a loro. E ora, il sole si sta oscurando; solo la fede sopravviverà.

33. Il tempo è vicino; l'abisso si sta aprendo. Ecco il re dei re delle tenebre. Ecco la bestia con i suoi sudditi, sedicente salvatrice del mondo. In orgoglio, egli si leverà verso il Cielo per andare su fino in Paradiso; ma egli sarà soffocato dal respiro di San Michele arcangelo. Egli cadrà, e la terra che per tre giorni sarà stata in continuo cambiamento aprirà il suo petto infiammato; egli sarà gettato per sempre con tutti i suoi seguaci negli eterni abissi dell'inferno.
Allora, l'acqua e il fuoco purificheranno la terra e consumeranno le opere dell'orgoglio degli uomini, e ogni cosa sarà rinnovata. Dio sarà servito e glorificato .

1. Os Sacerdotes e ministros de meu Filho , por causa de suas más vidas , pelas sua irreverências e por sua impiedade ao celebrar os santos mistérios , pelo amor ao dinheiro , por amor as honras e aos prazeres , converteram-se em cloacas de impureza. Sim os Sacerdotes provocam a vingança e a vingança pendem sobre suas cabeças.
2. Ai dos sacerdotes e pessoas consagradas a Deus que pelas suas infidelidade e más vidas , crucificam meu Filho de novo! Os pecados das pessoas consagradas a Deus clamam ao céu e atraem vingança , e eis que a vingança está às suas portas, porque já não se encontra ninguém para implorar misericórdia e perdão para o povo. 3. Os chefes , os condutores do povo de Deus , descuraram a oração e a penitência , e o demônio obscureceu as suas inteligências. Tornaram-se naquelas estrelas errantes que a antiga serpente arrastará com sua calda para os fazer perecer. Deus permitirá que a antiga serpente ponhe divisões entre os soberanos ,e as famílias .Sofrer-se-ão penas físicas e morais . Deus abandonará o homem a si mesmo e enviará castigos que irão de suceder mais de trinta e cinco anos .
4. A sociedade está nas vésperas das mais terríveis calamidades e dos maiores acontecimentos . Deverá esperar vir a ser governada com vara de ferro e beber o cálice da cólera de Deus .
5. Que o vigário de meu Filho o Sumo Pontífice Pio IX , não saia de Roma depois de 1859 , mas que seja firme e generoso , que combata com as armas da fé e do amor . Eu estarei com ele.
6. Que desconfie de Napoleão , seu coração é falso e quando ele quiser ao mesmo tempo ser Papa e Imperador depressa Deus se retirará dele. Ele é aquela águia que querendo sempre subir mais alto cairá sobre a espada de que se queria servir para obrigar os povos a submissão.
7. A Itália será castigada pela sua ambição , por querer sacudir o jugo do Senhor dos senhores , também ela será entregue a guerra . O sangue correrá por todo o lado , as Igrejas serão fechadas e profanadas , os sacerdotes e religiosos serão perseguidos ; fa-los-ão morrer , e morrer de morte cruel. Muitos abandonarão a fé , e o números de sacerdotes e religiosos que apostarão da religião verdadeira será grande ; entre estes encontrar-se-ão até mesmo bispos.
8. Que o Papa se acautele contra os fazedores de milagres porque chegou o tempo em que se hão de operar os mais espantosos prodígios no céu e no ar.
9. No ano de 1864 , serão desencadeados do inferno Lúcifer com um grande número de demônios , eles abolirão a fé pouco a pouco , mesmo nas pessoas consagradas a Deus. Cegá-las-ão de tal forma que salvo por graça particular; essas pessoas tomarão o espíritos desses anjos maus . Muitas casas religiosas perderão completamente a fé e perder-se-ão muitas almas.
10. Os livros maus abundarão a terra e os espíritos das trevas espalharão por toda a parte um relaxamento universal por tudo o que seja a serviço de Deus e terão um grandiosícimo poder obre a natureza. Haverá Igrejas ao culto desses espíritos. Certas pessoas serão transportadas de a outro lugar por esses maus espíritos até sacerdotes , porque eles não serão conduzidos pelo bom espírito do Evangelho , que é um espírito de humildade , de caridade e de zelo pela glória de Deus.
11. Serão ressuscitados mortos e justos. ( isto é , estes mortos tomarão a aparências destas almas justas que viveram na terra para melhor seduzir os homens . Estes ditos mortos ressuscitados não serão mais que o demônio sob as suas figuras e pregarão outro evangelho contrário ao de Jesus Cristo , negando quer a existência do céu , quer a existência das almas dos condenados. Todas essas almas aparecerão como que unidas a corpos.) E ver-se-á por toda parte prodígios extraordinários , porque a fé verdadeira se extinguiu e a falsa luz ilumina o mundo . Ai dos príncipes da Igreja que se tenham apenas dedicado em acumular riquezas , a salvaguardar a sua autoridade e a dominar com o orgulho!
12. O vigário do meu Filho terá muito que sofrer por que por um tempo a Igreja será entregue a grandes perseguições : será o tempo das trevas , a Igreja terá uma crise medonha.
13. Esquecida a Santa Fé de Deus , cada indivíduo quererá governar-se por si mesmo e ser superior aos seus semelhantes . Abolir-se-ão os pobres civis e eclesiásticos, a ordem e a justiça serão calçadas aos pés. Só se verão homicídios , ódios , inveja , mentira e discórdia , sem amor pela pátria e nem pela família.
14. O Santo Padre sofrerá muito , estarei com Ele até o fim para receber seu sacrifício . Os malvado atentarão muitas vezes contra sua vida sem poder por fim aos seu dias ; mas nem ele , nem seu sucessor ( que não terá muito tempo) verão o triunfo da Igreja de Deus.
15. Os governantes terão todos o mesmo plano que será abolir e desaparecer todo princípio religioso para dar lugar ao materialismo , ao ateísmo ao espiritismo e a toda espécie de vícios.
16. No ao de 1865 ver-se-á abominação nos lugares Santos. Nos conventos as flores da Igreja estarão putrefactas e o demônio converter-se-à no rei dos corações. Que os que estão a frente de comunidades religiosas vigiem as pessoas que hão de receber porque o demônio usará de toda sua malícia para introduzir nas ordens religiosas pessoas dadas ao pecado pois as desordens e o amor aos prazeres estarão espalhados por toda a terra.
17. A frança , a Itália a Espanha e a Inglaterra , entrarão em guerra; o sangue correrá pelas ruas; o francês lutará contra o francês , o italiano contra o italiano e depois haverá uma guerra geral, que será muito medonha . Por um tempo Deus esquecer-se-á da França e da Itália porque o Evangelho de Jesus Cristo já não é conhecido . Os malvados desenvolverão toda a sua malícia , os homens hão de matar-se e assassinar-se dentro das suas casas.
18. Ao primeiro golpe da Sua espada fulminante , as montanhas ,a natureza inteira estremecerá de espanto , porque as desordens e os crimes dos homens traspassam a abóbada do céu. Paris será queimada e Marselha será engolida várias cidades grandes serão abaladas e soterradas por terremotos. Julgar-se-á tudo perdido. Não se verá mais que homicídios , não se ouvirá senão ruído das armas e blasfêmias . Os justos sofrerão muito , as suas orações penitências e lágrimas subirão ao céu e todo povo de Deus pedirá perdão e misericórdia implorando a minha ajuda e intercessão.
19. Então Jesus Cristo , por um ato de sua justiça e da sua misericórdia para com os justos , mandará seus anjos dar morte a todos os seus inimigos. Num abrir e fechar de olhos os perseguidores da Igreja de Jesus Cristo e todos os homens escravos do pecado perecerão e a terra ficará como um deserto.
20. Então far-se-á a paz , a reconciliação de Deus com os homens . Jesus Cristo será servido e glorificado. A caridade florescerá por toda a parte . Os novos reis serão o braço direito da Igreja que será forte , humilde e piedosa, pobre zelosa e imitadora das virtudes de Jesus Cristo. O Evangelho será pregado por toda a parte e os homens farão grandes progressos na fé , porque haverá unidade entre os obreiros de Jesus Cristo, e porque os homens viverão no temor de Deus.
21. Esta paz entre os homens não será longa : 25 anos de abundantes colheitas farão esquecer que pecados dos homens são causas de todos os males que sucedem a Terra.
22. Um percursor do anti-cristo , com um exército composto de muitas nações , combaterá o verdadeiro Cristo o único Salvador do mundo ; derramará muito sangue e pretenderá aniquilar o culto de Deus que se ele considere a ele como deus.
23. A terra será castigada com toda a espécie de praga( além da peste e da fome que serão gerais) , haverá guerras até a última que será feita então pelos dez reis aliados do anti-cristo , que terão todos os mesmo desígnios e serão os únicos a governar o mundo.
24. Antes que isso aconteça , haverá no mundo uma espécie de falsa paz. Não se pensará senão em divertimentos os malvados entregar-se-ão a todo o gênero de pecados . Mas os filhos da Santa Igreja , os da fé , os meu verdadeiros imitadores crescerão no amor de Deus e nas virtudes que mais queridas me são . Ditosas as almas humildes , dirigidas pelo espírito Santo! Eu combaterei com elas até chegarem a plenitude dos tempos.
25. A natureza clama por vingança contra os homens e treme de medo à espera do que deve acontecer a terra empapada de crimes. Tremei ó terra e vós que fazeis profissão de servir Jesus Cristo , e que dentro de vós adorais a vós mesmos. Tremei porque Deus entregar-vos-á ao seu inimigo , porque os lugares santos estão na corrupção; muitos conventos já não são casas de Deus , mas sim de Asmodeu e dos seus.
26. Será durante este tempo que nascerá o anti-cristo duma religiosa hebraica , duma falsa virgem que terá comunicação com a antiga serpente , o mestre da impureza . O seu pai será bispo. À nascença vomitará blasfêmias , terá dentes , numa palavra será de impurezas. Terá irmãos que embora não sendo como ele ,diabos encarnados, serão filhos do mal. Aos doze anos chamarão a atenção pelas rudes vitórias que alcançarão . Bem depressa se colocarão a frente de grandes exércitos assistidos por legiões do inferno.
27. As tentações mudarão. A terra só produzirá maus frutos . Os astros perderão seus movimentos regulares. A lua só transmitirá uma débil luz avermelhada . A água e o fogo impumirão ao globo terrestre movimentos convulsivos e horríveis terremotos que tragarão montanhas e cidades inteiras .
28. Roma perderá a fé e converter-se-á a sede do anti-cristo.
29. Os demônios do ar farão , o anti-cristo grandes prodígios na terra e nos ares e os perverter-se-ão cada vez mais . Deus cuidará de seus fiéis servidores e dos homens de boa vontade. O Evangelho será pregado por toda a parte , todos os povos e todas as nações conhecerão a verdade!
30. Eu dirijo um urgente apelo a terra : chamo os verdadeiros discípulos do Deus vivo , que reina nos Céus. Já é hora que saiam e venham iluminar a terra. Ide e mostrai-vos como meus filhos queridos . Estou conosco e em vós , desde que a vossa fé seja a luz que vos ilumine nestes dias de infortúnio . Que o vosso zelo vos tornem como que famintos da glória e da honra de Jesus Cristo . Combaterei filhos da luz , vós pequeno número que ainda tendes visão , porque chegou o tempo dos tempos , o fim dos fins.
31. A igreja será eclipsada , o mundo estará em aflição . Mas eis que chegam Enoch e Elias , cheios do espírito de Deus ; eles pregarão com a força de Deus e os homens de boa vontade acreditarão em Deus e muitas almas serão consoladas . Farão grandes progressos pela virtude do Espírito Santo e condenarão os erros diabólicos do anti-cristo.
32. Ai dos habitantes da Terra ! virão guerras sangrentas e fome , pestes e enfermidades contagiosas , chuvas de uma horrorosa saraiva de animais , que abalarão cidades , terremotos que engolirão países ; ouvir-se-ão vozes no ar , os homens baterão com as cabeças nos muros , chamarão a morte e por outro lado a morte será o seu suplício. Correrá o sangue por toda a parte . Quem poderá vencer se Deus não diminuir o tempo da prova? Pelo sangue , as lágrimas e as orações dos justos Deis deixar-se-á aplacar . Enoch e Elias serão martirizados . Roma pagã desaparecerá. Cairá fogo do Céu consumirá três cidades. Todo o universo será preza de terror e muitos deixar-se-ão seduzir porque não adoravam o verdadeiro Cristo , que vivia entre eles . Chegou o tempo , o céu escurece , só a fé viverá.
33. Eis o tempo abre-se o abismo . Eis o rei das trevas . Eis a besta com seus súditos dizendo -se o salvador do mundo. Elevar-se-á com soberba , pelos ares para subir até o céu ; será precipitado pelo sopro de São Miguel Arcanjo. Cairá, e a Terra que estava três dias em contínuas evoluções , abrirá o seio , cheio de fogo , e ele será precipitado para sempre com todos os seus abismos do inferno. THE SECRET OF LA SALETTE REVEALED BY OUR LADY TO HER ELECTED SEERS MAXIMIN GIRAUD AND MELANIE CALVAT IN LA SALETTE, FRANCE, SEPTEMBER, 19, 1846

1. 'Melanie, what I am going to tell you now will not always be secret.

You will be allowed to publish it in 1858.'

2. 'The priests, ministers of my Son, the priests, by their bad life, by

their irreverences and their impiety in celebrating the holy mysteries, by

love of money, love of honor and of pleasures, the priests have become

cesspools of impurity. Yes, the priests are asking for vengeance, and

vengeance is suspended over their heads. Woe to the priests and to

persons consecrated to God, who by their infidelities and their bad life

are crucifying anew my Son! The sins of persons consecrated to God cry

out towards Heaven and call for vengeance, and see how vengeance is

at their doors, because there is no longer found anyone to implore

mercy and forgiveness for the people; there are no longer generous

souls, there is no longer anyone worthy to offer the Victim without

blemish to the Eternal on behalf of the world.'

3. 'God is going to strike in a manner without example.'

4. 'Woe to the inhabitants of the earth! God is going to exhaust His

wrath, and no one will be able to take himself away from so many

afflictions combined.'

5. 'The leaders, the guides of the people of God have neglected prayer

and penance, and the demon has obscured their intelligence; they have

become these wandering stars that the old devil will drag along with his

tail to make them perish. God will permit the old serpent to place

divisions among rulers, in all societies and in all families; physical and

moral pains will be suffered; God will abandon men to themselves, and

will send chastisements which will follow one after another for more

than thirty-five years.'

6. 'Society is on the eve of the most terrible scourges and of the

greatest events; one must expect to be ruled with an iron rod and to

drink the chalice of the wrath of God.'

7. 'May the Vicar of my Son, the sovereign Pontiff Pius IX, no longer

leave Rome after the year 1859; but may he be firm and generous, may

he fight with the weapons of faith and love; I will be with him.'

8. 'May he be wary of Napoleon; his heart is double, and when he will

want to be at the same time Pope and emperor, soon God will withdraw

from him: he is this eagle who, wanting always to raise himself up, will

fall on the sword which he wanted to use in order to force the peoples

to raise him up.'

9. 'Italy will be punished for her ambition in wanting to shake off the

yoke of the Lord of Lords; also she will be delivered over to war; blood

will flow on all sides; the Churches will be closed or desecrated; the

priests, the religious will be hunted; they will be made to die, and to die

a cruel death. Several will abandon the faith, and the number of priests

and religious who will separate themselves from the true religion will be

great; Among these persons there will be found even some Bishops.'

10. 'May the Pope keep himself on guard against the performers of

miracles, because the time has come when the most astonishing

wonders will take place on the earth and in the air.'

11. 'In the year 1864, Lucifer with a great number of demons will be

unleashed from hell; they will abolish the faith little by little and even in

persons consecrated to God; they will blind them in such a way that

barring a particular grace these persons will take on the spirit of these

bad angels: several religious houses will lose the faith entirely and will

lose many souls.'

12. 'Bad books will abound on earth, and the spirits of darkness will

spread everywhere a universal slackening in all that concerns the

service of God; they will have a very great power over nature: there will

be churches to serve these spirits. Some persons will be transported

from one place to another by these bad spirits and even some priests,

because they will not be guiding themselves by the good spirit of the

Gospel, which is a spirit of humility, charity and zeal for the glory of

God. The dead and the just will be made to revive.' [That is to say that

these dead will take the appearance of just souls who had lived on

earth, so as to better mislead men: these so-called resurrected dead,

who will be nothing other than the demon under these appearances, will

preach another Gospel contrary to the one of the true Christ Jesus,

denying the existence of heaven, or they may also be the souls of the

damned. All these souls will appear as if united to their bodies.] 'There

will be in all places extraordinary wonders, because the true faith is

dying out and because false light enlightens the world. Woe to the

Princes of the Church who will not be occupied except to pile riches

upon riches, to safeguard their authority and to dominate with pride.'

[Melanie added the comment (in brackets and italics above) about the

dead and righteous who will appear to be brought back to life. In a

letter to Abbé Combe, the editor of the 1904 edition of Le Secret De

Melanie, she states that she made this comment'according to the Vision

which I had in the moment that the very Blessed Virgin was speaking of

the resurrection of the dead.' (Le Secret De Melanie, p. 29-30).]

13. 'The Vicar of my Son will have much to suffer, because for a time

the Church will be delivered over to great persecutions: this will be the

time of darkness; the Church will have a frightful crisis.'

14. 'The holy faith of God being forgotten, each individual will want to

be guided by himself and to be superior to his peers. Civil and

ecclesiastical powers will be abolished, all order and all justice will be

trampled underfoot; one will see only homicides, hatred, jealousy, lying

and discord, without love for country, or for family.'

15. 'The holy Father will suffer much. I will be with him until the end to

receive his sacrifice.'

16. 'The wicked will make an attempt several times on his life without

power to do harm to his days; but neither he, nor his successor [who

will not reign long,] will see the triumph of the Church of God.'

17. 'Civil rulers will have all one same design which will be to abolish,

and to make disappear all religious principle, in order to make way for

materialism, atheism, spiritualism and all kinds of vices.'

18. 'In the year 1865, the abomination will be seen in holy places; in

convents, the flowers of the Church will be decayed and the demon will

make himself as the king of hearts. May those who are at the head of

religious communities keep themselves on guard for persons whom they

must receive, because the demon will use of all his malice in order to

introduce into religious orders persons devoted to sin, for disorders and

the love of carnal pleasures will be spread by all the earth.'

19. 'France, Italy, Spain and England will be in war; blood will flow in

the streets; Frenchman will fight with Frenchman, Italian with Italian;

subsequently there will be a general war which will be appalling. For a

time, God will no longer be mindful of France or Italy, because the

Gospel of Jesus Christ is no longer known. The wicked will deploy all

their malice; they will kill themselves, they will massacre themselves

mutually even in the houses.'

20. 'At the first stroke of His lightning sword, the mountains and the

whole of nature will tremble with terror, because the disorders and the

crimes of men pierce the vault of the heavens. Paris will be burned and

Marseilles engulfed; several great cities will be shaken and engulfed by

earthquakes: it will be believed that all is lost: only homicides will be

seen, only the noise of weapons and blasphemies will be heard. The just

will suffer much; their prayers, their penances and their tears will climb

even up to heaven and all the people of God will ask for forgiveness and

mercy, and will ask for my help and my intercession. Then Jesus Christ

by an act of His justice and of His great mercy for the just, will

command to His angels that all His enemies be put to death. All at once

the persecutors of the Church of Jesus Christ and all men devoted to sin

will perish, and the earth will become like a desert. Then peace, the

reconciliation of God with men will be made; Jesus Christ will be served,

adored and glorified; charity will flower everywhere. The new kings will

be the right arm of the holy Church, which will be strong, humble,

pious, poor, zealous and imitator of the virtues of Jesus Christ. The

Gospel will be preached everywhere and men will make great progress

in the faith, because there will be unity among the workers of Jesus

Christ and because men will live in the fear of God.'

21. 'This peace among men will not be long; 25 years of abundant

harvests will make them forget that the sins of men are the cause of all

the pains which come upon the earth.'

22. 'A forerunner of the antichrist with his troops from several nations

will fight against the true Christ, the only Savior of the world; he will

spill much blood, and will want to annihilate the worship of God in order

to make himself be looked upon as a God.'

23. 'The earth will be struck all kinds of plagues [in addition to

pestilence and famine which will be general]; there will be wars until the

last war, which will then be made by the ten kings of the antichrist,

which kings will have all one same design and will be the only ones who

will rule the world. Before these arrive, there will be a type of false

peace in the world; one will think only about amusing oneself; the

wicked will deliver themselves over to all kinds of sin, but the children of

the holy Church, the children of the faith, my true imitators, will grow in

the love of God and in the virtues which are dear to me. Happy the

humble souls guided by the Holy Spirit! I will fight with them until they

arrive at the fullness of the age.'

24. 'Nature is asking for vengeance for men, and she shudders with

terror in waiting for that which must come upon the earth soiled with

crimes.'

25. 'Tremble, earth and you who make profession of serving Jesus

Christ and who on the inside you adore yourselves, tremble; for God is

going to deliver you over to His enemy, because the holy places are in

corruption; many convents are no longer houses of God, but the

pastures of Asmodeas and his sort.'

26. 'It will be during this time that the antichrist will be born of a

Hebrew religious, of a false Virgin who will have communication with the

old serpent, the master of impurity; his father will be Bishop; at birth,

he will vomit blasphemies, he will have teeth; in a word, this will be the

devil incarnate; he will let out frightening cries, he will perform

wonders, he will nourish himself only on impurities. He will have

brothers who, although they will not be like him demons incarnate, will

be children of evil; at 12 years, they will make themselves noticed by

their brilliant victories which they will win; soon, they will each be at the

head of armies, assisted by the legions of hell.'

[Melanie also commented on this point, as follows: 'It is said that the

antichrist will be the devil incarnate, that is to say that he will be

entirely possessed. I have seen that the good God does not permit the

demon to personally incarnate himself in a human soul and body, but

that the demon under a visible form will have familiar relations with the

parents of the antichrist, and that they will consecrate him to his

service from the first moment of his existence.' (Le Secret De Melanie,

p. 55). She wrote this comment at the end of her handwritten copy of

the secret, the one which she gave to Abbé Combe for the 1904 edition

of Le Secret De Melanie.]

27. 'The seasons will be changed, the earth will produce only bad fruits,

the stars will lose their regular movements, the moon will reflect only a

feeble reddish light; water and fire will give to the globe of the earth

convulsive movements and horrible earthquakes which will cause to be

engulfed mountains, cities [etc.].'

[The editor of the 1904 edition adds the following note concerning this

paragraph: 'I have from Melanie that this etc. is not made part of the

text. The Blessed Virgin showed her other cataclysms without naming

them and without pronouncing the word etc. ' (Le Secret De Melanie,

p.57.)]

28. 'Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the antichrist.'

29. 'The demons of the air with the antichrist will perform great

wonders on the earth and in the air, and men will corrupt themselves

more and more. God will have care of His faithful servants and men of

good will; the Gospel will be preached everywhere, all peoples and all

nations will have knowledge of the truth!'

30. 'I address a pressing appeal to the earth: I call upon the true

disciples of God living and reigning in the heavens; I call upon the true

imitators of Christ made man, the only and true savior of men; I call

upon my children, my true devotees, those who have given themselves

to me so that I may guide them to my divine Son, those whom I carry

so to speak in my arms, those who have lived by my spirit; finally I call

upon the Apostles of the last times, the faithful disciples of Jesus Christ

who have lived in a contempt for the world and for themselves, in

poverty and in humility, in contempt and in silence, in prayer and in

mortification, in chastity and in union with God, in suffering and

unknown to the world. It is time that they go out and come to enlighten

the earth. Go, and show yourselves as my dear children; I am with you

and in you, provided that your faith be the light which enlightens you in

these days of woe. May your zeal render you like the starving for the

glory and honor of Jesus Christ. Fight, children of light, you the small

number who can see; for behold the time of times, the end of ends.'

31. 'The Church will be eclipsed, the world will be in consternation. But

behold Enoch and Elie filled with the Spirit of God; they will preach with

the strength of God, and men of good will will believe in God, and many

souls will be consoled; they will make great progress by the virtue of

the Holy Spirit and will condemn the devilish errors of the antichrist.'

[Abbé Combe, the editor of the 1904 edition, adds the following note

after this paragraph. 'I have from Melanie that the Church will be

eclipsed in this sense, that 1) one will not know which is the true pope;

2) for a time: the holy Sacrifice will cease to be offered in churches, and

also in houses: so there will be no more public worship. But she saw

that yet the holy Sacrifice would not cease: it would be offered in caves,

in tunnels, in barns and in alcoves.']

32. 'Woe to the inhabitants of the earth! there will be bloody wars and

famines; pestilences and contagious diseases; there will be rains of a

dreadful hail of animals, thunders which will shake cities, earthquakes

which will engulf countries; voices will be heard in the air, men will beat

their head against the walls, they will call upon death, and on another

side death will be their torture; blood will flow on all sides. Who will be

able to overcome, if God does not shorten the time of the ordeal? By

the blood, the tears and the prayers of the just, God will let Himself be

swayed, Enoch and Elie will be put to death; pagan Rome will disappear;

fire from Heaven will fall and will consume three cities; all the universe

will be struck with terror, and many will let themselves be misled

because they have not adored the true Christ living among them. It is

time; the sun darkens; faith alone will live.'

33. 'Behold the time; the abyss opens. Behold the king of kings of

darkness. Behold the beast with his subjects, calling himself the savior

of the world. He will raise himself up with pride into the air in order to

go even up to heaven; he will be smothered by the breath of the holy

Archangel Michael. He will fall, and the earth which for three days will

be in continual evolutions, will open its bosom full of fire; he will be

plunged for ever with all his own into the eternal chasms of hell. Then

water and fire will purify the earth and will consume all the works of the

pride of men, and all will be renewed: God will be served and glorified.'
